Coqui Charities is pleased to support a local Humacao Boy Scout, Gabriel Jaime Sanchez, who is earning Eagle Scout rank through his project to design and build Recycling Stations in Pterocarpus Forest in Palmas del Mar, Humacao, Puerto Rico. He is a member of Tropa 32 in Humacao. Gabriel is currently finishing 12th grade at the Ana Roque de Duprey School. Coqui Charities donated to buy supplies to support his project.
The Eagle rank is the highest rank that can be obtained within the scouts. It is obtained when the scout shows mastery of leadership skills and meets other subsequent requirements. Leadership was demonstrated by Gabriel completing a project called “Proyecto Águila”. Said project was chosen by the young candidate for rank.
“My project was to install three recycling stations in the Pterocarpus forest of Palmas del Mar in which they carry 3 containers of 55 gal. One for plastics, another for aluminum and the last of garbage. (The stations) were completed on December 20, 2018,” explained Gabriel.
Congratulations to our local Eagle Scout for a job well done!
