Community Micro Program

projects

Coqui Charities bought
supplies that were delivered to the victims of Hurricane Fiona. We want to thank you deeply for all the donations you have made. These, including items donated at PHA, were brought to the Fine Arts Center to be distributed. Without your support, none of this would be possible!

The crisis that Puerto Rico is going through has been devastating for hundreds of families. Two weeks later, the devastation of Hurricane Fiona were still being felt. The most impacted zones have not yet been able to fully recover. This is why the work must continue. Your support, and your donations make a difference.

projects

Through Sonia Gerena, from the district of Humacao, and with the help of our Coqui Charities’ team, we were able to install a solar water purifier that will facilitate clean water to the community of Mariana. This system can be found in ARECMA (Loma de La Niña, or in English, “Girl’s Hill”). This is a huge project for us and for the community.

Moreover, in the wake of Hurricane Fiona the nonprofit organization ARECMA have coordinated help and support to the community by assisting with 250 daily lunches. You can help them continue with their amazing work by, essentially, donating food items! Thank you for your love and support!

projects

A local family lost their home and belongings in a fire on Christmas day in Res. Jardines de Selle. They are in need of adult and children’s clothing, furniture including beds, school supplies, and more. Please consider donating to help this family.

projects

Coqui Charities recognizes that there are many smaller projects in our community that may not receive funding from larger organizations for our under-served neighborhoods. From assistance to people who are ill to small projects that are necessary for everyday vitality, Coqui works with the community to fund and coordinate success for these micro projects.

projects

Coqui Charities is working with several local community leaders to fund holiday gifts and educational toys for children in under-served communities in the Humacao area. 100% of your donations will go to purchase these gifts which will be distributed on January 6, 2019 on Three Kings Day.
